Free internet for Wycombe supporters

Fans at Adams Park will now be able to access fast, free internet from their seats thanks to a new partnership between League Two Wycombe Wanderers and Stadium Wireless, reports www.fcbusiness.co.uk. Following the recent installation of fibre broadband to the stadium, the connection reaches up to 80mbps in speed and covers every seat in the ground, enabling supporters to check on other scores around the country and post photos and messages to social media channels.

Wanderers are one of just a handful of clubs to provide free wi-fi to its fans, and this new deal paves the way for greater interaction between supporters on a matchday.

Matt Cecil, head of media at the club, said: "In the digital age, we know our supporters like to post photos, tweet their thoughts and find out what's going on at other games, so it's great that we can now offer wireless internet to everyone without it costing a penny.

"Stadium Wireless have given us a fantastic platform for this to happen and we're sure it won't be long until other football clubs follow suit."

The new service is currently available on a trial basis and supporters are urged to test the wi-fi and send their feedback either by email to [email protected]
