Former Aston Villa striker Marlon Harewood, currently a free agent, has been offered a two-year deal by Scottish club Rangers.
The 30-year old has been on the lookout for a new club this summer and was heavily linked with United Arab Emirates club Al Ahli but cash-strapped Rangers have now come in as he would not cost them a fee.
Harewood struggled for game time during his stay with Villa and was sent out on loan with Wolves in 2009 and Newcastle United last season.
