New Everton midfielder Francisco Junior is thrilled with his move to Merseyside.
The Guinea-Bissau born Portugal Under-21 international was previously on the books at Benfica and also spent time with Manchester City, but the Blues reacted quickly upon hearing he had become a free agent.
The 20-year-old, whose full name is Francisco Santos Da Silva Junior, got a first taste of Goodison Park when he attended Saturday's 2-0 win over Chelsea and says he was deeply impressed by what he saw.
"I really like the players, there are many famous players here and I think they can help me develop my talent," he said. "I also feel very good about the supporters. I saw the game against Chelsea and the fans had so much passion for the Club. I can see it is a family Club and I want to play for those fans.
"The training ground is right up there too, it's a top facility and Everton is a top, top club.""I feel very happy to have joined Everton," Junior told evertonfc.com. "It's a great challenge and now I just want to show my talent to the fans."
