Francis Coquelin is happy to be playing centrally in Arsenal's midfield.

The 21-year-old French youth international made 21 first-team appearances, mainly at full back, last term, but this year he has been used exclusively in the 'engine room', and he couldn't be happier.

"Yes, of course, this is always the position I want to play," Coquelin told the official Arsenal matchday programme.

"I'm happy to get a few chances there. I enjoyed playing full back too last season, I will play anywhere, I just want to play. But I'm really pleased this season because midfield is what I enjoy most."
