Francesco Guidolin insists he didn't see his dismissal at Swansea City coming.
The Italian rescued the side from relegation. But that didn't prevent the club from pulling the plug on him earlier this month.
“I thought I'd have been given more time, but these things happen in football," Guidolin told Sky Sport Italia.
“I wasn't the first and I certainly won't be the last to experience this, even if I am somewhat unaccustomed to this situation, as fortunately in my career things usually went well.
"I met many people who were moved by my situation, telling me they were disappointed, that I didn't deserve to be fired and they wanted me to remain. They felt I was one of them. I was happy there, a bit like I was at Udinese."
