Fox signs new Norwich deal

David Fox has signed a new contract with Norwich City.

The 28-year old midfielder has penned a two-year deal with the Canaries with the option of a further year which has delighted manager Chris Hughton.

"I'm thrilled he's signed a new contract and committed himself to the club for the next two years," he told the club's official website.

"He's got plenty of quality and experience which I'm sure he'll continue to bring to the squad like he has since he arrived at the club.

"He's missed a lot of pre-season this year but it's great to now have him back in training, fully fit and available for selection."

Fox, who has been at Carrow Road since he arrived from Colchester United in 2010, is looking to continue his rise to prominence as a key part of the Norwich line-up.

"I'm delighted to be here for the next couple of years and now I can push on from what has been a very successful time for myself and for the club," the former Manchester United and Blackpool man said.

"To end last season by coming third in the player of the season award was really touching and I was humbled by the whole thing.

"The lads played really well last year and it was a collective effort from everyone. It's up to me to play as often as I can now."
