Frustrated at the lack of a permanent contract with Blackburn, who will only offer a pay-as-you-play deal, Robbie Fowler has reportedly turned to Cardiff, the club he abruptly left to try again in the Premiership, about a return to Ninian Park.
The 33-year-old turned down a year at Cardiff for the offer of a trial under ex-team mate Paul Ince which incensed the fans.
Now reports claim that the player's agent contacted the club on Fowler's behalf to ask for a return to Cardiff.
Cardiff are understood to have declined the suggestion.
