Robbie Fowler could step in at Liverpool to replace Steven Gerrard as U18 coach.

Gerrard was named new Rangers manager on Friday.

The Mirror says Fowler is in the running to replace him as Liverpool's U18 manager.

Fowler, 43, has been actively working in youth football since hanging up his boots and has previously worked with Liverpool's academy.

He is also the face of the Robbie Fowler Education and Football Academy in Merseyside, which combines football with post-16 studies and is producing impressive results.
