Robbie Fowler is happy to accept his pay-as-you-play deal at Blackburn Rovers.

"If I do well and score goals, great. If I don't then what has anyone lost?" said the ex-Liverpool and Leeds striker.

"It's not ideal but it's a gamble I'm prepared to take. Once you get older and start moving round the leagues, you hope the Premier League will come calling again.

"It was a surprise call but a good one. I've got another chance."
