Manchester City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips has four clubs chasing his signature.

The Manchester Evening News says Wigan Athletic, West Bromwich Albion, West Ham United and Blackburn Rovers have all made inquiries to take the one-time darling of the fans on loan.

But the Blues are standing firm, rejecting loan deals for the £9m-rated winger, preferring instead to sell him or any other stars who boss Roberto Mancini sees as surplus to requirements.

Wright-Phillips, who is half-way through a £60,000-a-week contract and has turned down one offer to extend that on improved terms, has emerged as the most likely departure from Eastlands next month, with clubs expected to make firm bids when the transfer window opens.
