Ben Foster could be in line for a Manchester United return tomorrow.
The Mirror says United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is considering handing Foster only his third start against Stoke at Old Trafford tomorrow after some dodgy displays from Edwin Van der Sar.
Van der Sar has looked unconvincing in certain matches and Fergie is understood to be giving consideration to playing Foster, mindful the promising 26-year-old is in need of first-team action.
Foster, long regarded by Fergie as a future United and England No.1, has seen his career at Old Trafford blighted by injury, but now fit he is ready to stake his claim - along with Tomasz Kuszczak - for the right to replace Van der Sar.
"From what we've seen of him in training and what we've seen of him in his two games for us against Derby and Celtic, I'd say he's England's No.1," said Fergie.
