West Brom striker Marc Antoine-Fortune was delighted with his brace in their victory over Wigan Athletic.
"We had to win today to have a hope of keeping the club in the Barclays Premier League," Fortune told the WBA website.
"It was a very important game and we did well so I'm happy. It's nice to score and win but I don't mind if I only make assists as long as we win. In the last few weeks, it seems as though the keeper has saved my shots, a player has blocked them or I've hit the post.
"It was disappointing to score two goals against Newcastle and lose. But today I scored twice and we won. That makes me a happy man."
