Birmingham City striker Mikael Forssell believes his former Finland coach Roy Hodgson will be successful at Fulham.
He said: "Roy is capable of getting Fulham out of the trouble they are in. Roy is a great organiser of a team. He is the person who will actually keep them up.
"It won't be easy but he is the person that can sort everything out tactically. He is a very defensive type of coach and I don't think Fulham will be letting in as many goals as they have been.
"He sorts the teams out, he knows what he wants and he demands of all the players hard work all the time and organises them tactically.
"He has coached in Italy for a long time and I think that is where the knowledge of tactics come from."
Hodgson has not managed in the Premier League since leaving Blackburn nine years ago but Forssell does not envisage that being a handicap.
He said: "The fact Roy has not managed at this level in this country for a long time will not count against him. I think he is good enough. He has been at the highest level for a long time.
"He has got Switzerland into past European Championships and World Cups and almost qualified now with Finland for Euro 2008, which was a great achievement. He knows the game inside out."
