Former Wolves keeper Hahnemann set to join ex-Fulham, Tottenham Keller at Seattle

Marcus Hahnemann looks set to join Seattle Sounders according to New York Red Bulls sporting director Erik Soler.

Marcus Hahnemann looks set to join Seattle Sounders according to New York Red Bulls sporting director Erik Soler.

Speaking to ESPN.com about his clubs transfer plans, Soler made it clear that the club was not after former Wolves goalkeeper Marcus Hahnemann who is highly likely to join old USA teammate Kasey Keller at CenturyLink Field.

"No, we have not spoken to Hahnemann," Soler said.

"As I understand, he's on his way to Seattle. So I don't think that's an option for us."

The proposed signing does put the future of 41-year old Kasey Keller in doubt but the likelihood is that he will retire at the end of the 2011 MLS season paving the way for Hahnemann to take over.
