Kevin Doyle says it won't be too long until he reaches peak form and fitness with the Colorado Rapids.
The Republic of Ireland striker, 31, was unveiled as the MLS club's Designated Player on Monday after arriving in Denver on the weekend and is planning to get up to scratch as soon as possible after recently completing with English Championship club Wolves.
"My season only ended two weeks ago, so it's only (a matter of) getting the travel out of my legs, getting (over) the jet lag and used to the altitude," Doyle said in the Denver Post.
"I'm sure I'll be involved in some capacity at the weekend. Hopefully in two weeks I'll be up to 100 percent."
Doyle arrives at Dick's Sporting Goods Park with the Pablo Mastroeni-coached Rapids sitting at the foot of the Western Conference table.
