Former West Ham defender Brown in Crewe trial

League Two Crewe are trialling former West Ham left-back Jordan Brown on trial.

The 20-year-old was released by the Hammers without making a
first-team appearance.

"Jordan has been released by West Ham and has come up here so we
can look at him," boss Steve Davis told Crewe's official
website
. "We will assess him and if he is good enough then we
would look to do something on a short-term basis.

"He has come from West Ham so he is going to be technically good. He
is a bit inexperienced because he hasn't played too much first-team
football, but if he can prove he's worth a deal then we would do
something."

With an eye towards the looming transfer deadline, Davis added: "He is
unattached so there is no fee involved and it doesn't have to be
concluded on Tuesday."
