Former West Brom star Mulumbu eager for new Norwich challenge

Youssouf Mulumbu is excited about a new challenge with a new club.

The DR Congo midfielder joined Norwich City on a free after departing West Bromwich Albion earlier this summer and is eager to enjoy a successful stay with the Premier League returnees.

The former Paris Saint-Germain man was a crowd favourite at The Hawthorns and is hoping to use that motivation in front of the Carrow Road faithful now he is a Canary.

"The fans are really important because they drive you on; they can be the twelfth man," he told the club's official website.

"I'm really looking forward to getting back to what I do, and to be playing at Carrow Road. I'm 100 per cent confident it's going to be a great season for myself and Norwich.

"We've had two weeks training together and I've seen the quality we have. As a new player, I'm looking forward to showing what I can do to the coach and to my team-mates.

"I had six or seven years at West Brom, but now I have a new challenge and new ambitions to win my position here and keep it. That's going to drive me forward and make me step up my game in order to improve again."
