Scottish League One club Rangers are believed to be close to securing the services of defender Gabriel Tamas.
The Herald has reported that the 30-year old Romania international is in talks regarding a move to Ibrox for the 2014/15 season.
The former Galatasaray, Spartak Moscow, Celta Vigo, Auxerre and West Bromwich Albion centre-back is currently contracted at Doncaster Rovers but that expires this summer, paving the way for a possible shift to Glasgow.
Tamas, who has played for Romania on 63 occasions, has appeared just twice for Rovers this season and is unlikely to be offered a new deal to remain at the Keepmoat.
