Former West Brom boss Clarke harbours Celtic ambitions

Former West Bromwich manager Steve Clarke has expressed his interest in the Celtic job.

The Scottish giants recently announced that current manager Ronny Deila will depart in the summer and since then a host of names including David Moyes and Roy Keane have been linked with the job.

Clarke, who most recently managed Reading in December 2015, has gone and thrown his hat in the ring for the Parkhead vacancy.

"Celtic is a massive club," Clarke said.

"Anyone that comes from the West Coast of Scotland, as I do, understands the size of the club.

"It's a big job. Celtic will have in their own mind who they want to go after and we should let them get on with their business.

"There are a lot of good managers out of work. If they want to give me a call, it would be nice."
