Veteran striker Emile Heskey is prepared to drop down to the Championship. Heskey is available on a free transfer after being released by Aston Villa and he has been tipped to become Steve Bruce's first signing at Hull City.
"He was the manager who took me to Birmingham and then I was at Wigan when he arrived there.
"The last time we spoke was at a football dinner, but obviously that was at a time when Steve was not managing a club, and I have not spoken to him since.
"At present, I have not had any contact with any clubs about next season as of yet, and I have not even thought about making any decisions, as I am just enjoying a break and a holiday first.
"However, I will not be hanging up my boots and I will look to get things sorted out after I have had a holiday.
"At present, I am not ruling anything out though, and I certainly would not rule out playing in the Championship, as it is a very good division." "Steve Bruce is a very good manager and we have worked together in the past. We get on very well," Heskey told the Hull Daily Mail.
