Former Villa star Angel knows LA Galaxy goals will come soon

Just five goals in five matches for 2010's second heaviest scoring team does not have LA Galaxy striker Juan Pablo Angel bothered.

The prolific Colombian joined the Galaxy from New York Red Bulls prior to the 2011 MLS season and his arrival indicated that perhaps the club would be able to score even more goals.

But a slow start in scoring terms (the club has a record of 2-2-1), is not such a bad thing according to Angel.

"When you look at the games we've played so far, the game against New England was a very difficult field to play [on]," Angel said. "We didn't have a good game against Salt Lake and against Philadelphia we played pretty much the second half one man down. But it's important we keep getting results."

The former Aston Villa man said that early-season injuries had not helped and expected the goals to soon come in whilst making sure the number one goal was to pick up positive results.

"It's been difficult," Ángel added. "We didn't have Omar [Gonzalez], [Donovan] Ricketts, myself for the first game, Gregg [Berhalter] has been out and Landon is out right now.

"Those are the things you are going to face throughout the year and that's going to tell you how good as a team you are. At the end of the day, it's how you replace those individuals that are important for the team and tells you if you have the depth and the strength within the squad to win things.

"But as long as we're working together as a team, as long as we're supporting each other as a team, then we'll be fine."
