Alexi Lalas believes David Beckham's five-year involvement with Major League Soccer as a player will end if the LA Galaxy win the MLS Cup this season.
The former Manchester United, Real Madrid and AC Milan star midfielder's MLS contract expires at the end of the current season and his future is yet to be decided.
There have been calls for Beckham to return to England with the likes of QPR, Tottenham and Leicester City all showing interest at one stage or another whilst French giants Paris Saint-Germain are also believed to be keen.
Former USA, Padova, New England Revolution and Galaxy ace Lalas is confident that Beckham, who has a clause in his contract that allows him to enter into MLS franchise ownership once his playing days are over, will depart MLS if the Galaxy are successful in their pursuit of the North American domestic league title.
"He'll go if he is standing with the Cup raised above his head," said Lalas.
