Colorado Rapids head coach Oscar Pareja has confirmed that Vicente Sanchez is set to sign with the club.
The 33-year old Uruguayan striker will depart homeland club Nacional to sign a MLS contract with the Rapids and Pareja is excited about his impending arrival.
"It's close," Pareja said. "This could be done soon. The good part is he wants it as much as we want it.
"One of the things I'd like to have, without disturbing what we're building, is to add some experience. We need that."
Sanchez has been a prolific goalscorer in Mexico during his career, starring for Toluca and Club America, as well as enjoying a stint in Germany with Schalke.
