Inaugural Sydney FC member Dwight Yorke has pulled the pin on an amazing career. The Trinidad & Tobago star has decided to end his playing career and hopes to take up management, beginning with the assistant manager role with the Trinidad & Tobago national team.
The 37-year old had a brilliant career beginning with Aston Villa in 1998, before moving on to Manchester United where he won three Premierships, an FA Cup and a Champions League.
From Old Trafford, Yorke joined Blackburn Rovers then Birmingham City before captaining Sydney FC to the first ever A-League championship in 2005/06.
He then moved back to England, joining Sunderland.
Yorke says he would like to one day manage an English Premier League club.
