Former Swansea defender Bessone trials with Crewe

League OneCrewe Alexandra are running the rule in training over Federico Bessone, having offered the Argentine full-back a week's trial. The 30 year old first came to the United Kingdom in 2008 when he joined Swansea City from Espanyol on a free transfer.

He has since also turned out for Leeds United, Charlton Athletic, Swindon Town and Millwall, as well as spending time on the books at Oldham Athletic.

"We're having a look for a few days," boss Steve Davis told BBC Radio Stoke.

"He's a free agent, although he's been back training with Swansea."
