Former Sunderland goalkeeper Jurgen Macho is currently training with Wigan Athletic.

The 32-year old Austrian shot-stopper turned out for the Latics reserves side on Monday night and manager Roberto Martinez is monitoring him closely.

Macho most recently was with Greek club AEK Athens until his contract expired in June this year following stints with Kaiserslautern, Rapid Vienna, Chelsea, Sunderland and First Vienna.
