Former Sunderland assistant Black set for Blackburn post

Sky Sports are reporting that Blackburn Rovers are poised to unveil Eric Black as Steve Kean's new assistant manager later this week. Former Coventry and Motherwell manager Black is reportedly being lined up for the role, having left his post as Sunderland assistant boss following Steve Bruce's sacking last month.

Kean said: "We had good talks last week with a number of very good candidates and we're very confident we can announce something on Thursday."
