Former Stoke defender Sonko joins Ipswich

Ipswich Town have secured the services of former Stoke City defender Ibrahima Sonko.

The 30-year old Senegalese centre-back has joined the Tractor Boys on a free transfer after his contract expired at the end of last season.

Sonko, who has previously played with Grenoble, Brentford and Reading, has signed a one-year deal and follows up Jimmy Bullard and Daryl Murphy as players to arrive at Portman Road in the past 48 hours.
