Former Red Bull Salzburg winger Kevin Bobson is believed to be considering an offer from the Newcastle Jets. The 28-year mutually agreed to terminate his contract with Salzburg manager Co Adriaanse and is currently a free agent.

Bobson's agent Louis Laros confirmed there was contact between the Jets and himself.

"They want him for the Asian Champions League which starts soon," said Laros.

"He has received an offer for one year."

It is believed the Jets were recommended by Dutchman Rob Baan who is currently the technical director for the Football Federation of Australia.
