Aitor Karanka has held talks with Crystal Palace regarding the vacant managerial position.
The former assistant to Jose Mourinho at Real Madrid has spoken with Eagles chairman Steve Parish in relation to the role which was vacated by Ian Holloway late last month.
Karanka, who played for Madrid as well as Athletic Bilbao and the Colorado Rapids, is the third man to speak with Palace following Martin O'Neill and Tony Pulis,
