Hugo Sanchez's name is being linked with the coaching role at A-League club Wellington Phoenix.
The former Real Madrid and Mexico star striker is believed to be one of almost 200 coaches who have applied for the role at the New Zealand club.
Sanchez, who is being touted as a possible replacement for Ricki Herbert, has managerial experience with the Mexico national team as well as UNAM Pumas, Necaxa, Spanish outfit Almeria and Pachuca.
