Former Rangers star John Spencer is eyeing a role with the USA national team.
Spencer is assistant boss for the MLS All Star Select who will face Celtic on Thursday - and hopes it will pave his way to become involved in the US national team set-up.
The former Rangers and Scotland striker has made a positive impact during his spell in the States and is No.2 at Houston Dynamo, winners of last season's MLS championship.
"Three players in the MLS squad are from Houston. Brian Ching is the best target man in the league.
"Ricardo Clark is a holding midfielder with great athleticism. He's like a young Patrick Vieira.
"Canadian Dwayen De Rosario is a flair player. He scored the only goal in last year's MLS All Star game against Chelsea.
"He's an attacking midfielder who likes to try the impossible - like shots from 40 yards. He excites the fans.
"Stevie Nicol is in charge of the side and I was honoured when he asked me to be his No.2.
"He is one of the top coaches here and has taken in so much from working under Bob Paisley, Joe Fagan and Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool and Jock Stein at Scotland.
"Stevie has been mentioned for the national team job along with Dominic Kinnear, our head coach at Houston
"Dominic has a great pedigree and was born in Glasgow. We work well together. Maybe one day two Glasgow-born guys - me and him - could be part of the US national coaching set-up."
