New York Red Bull have signed French striker Peguy Luyindula.

The 33-year old former Paris Saint-Germain, Lyon and Marseille man has been training with the Red Bulls during the 2013 pre-season and has now inked a contract with the MLS club.

"Peguy has a good pedigree as a forward who has played for many years in Europe and has now returned to full fitness," said New York Sporting Director Andy Roxburgh said in a statement.

"He is technically very good and his movements on the pitch are impressive. We are happy to add him to our roster."

During his career, DR Congo-born Luyindula has also played for Niort, Strasbourg, Auxerre and Levante whilst representing France on six occasions.
