Former NZ international Oughton appointed Toronto assistant

Toronto FC have appointed Duncan Oughton as their new assistant coach.

The 35-year old former New Zealand international has linked up with fellow countryman Ryan Nelsen at BMO Field.

"Duncan knows the league inside and out, and what it takes to be successful in the league," said Toronto head coach Nelsen.

"I've known him for many years and I know he will be a great addition to the fantastic staff we have here at Toronto FC."

The former Columbus Crew defender/midfielder was most recently in his third season a member of the Crew's coaching staff, serving as the assistant technical director and assistant coach.
