Former North Queensland Fury assistant Petrie joins Arbroath

Former North Queensland Fury assistant coach Stewart Petrie has joined Scottish Third Division club Arbroath in a similar role.

The 40-year old ex-Dunfermline Athletic and Ross County midfielder has teamed up with Paul Sheerin at Arbroath after spending last season as former Rangers star Ian Ferguson's number two in Townsville.

"I am delighted I've got Stewart in. I spoke to a number of people about him including Dick Campbell who had him at Ross County, and they all spoke very highly of him," Sheerin told the Daily Record.
