Obafemi Martins is determined to bring something special to the Seattle Sounders once his international transfer certificate goes through.
The Nigerian striker has departed Spanish club Levante after having his release clause of $4million triggered and is set to son complete his move to the MLS club where he is hoping he can have a positive impact straight away.
"It's great to finally get it sorted out," the former Newcastle United, Inter Milan, Wolfsburg, Rubin Kazan and Birmingham City man told BBC Sport.
"It had been talked about for a few weeks so it's nice to know where I stand. I can't wait to meet the player, fans and officials of Seattle Sounders.
"Hopefully I can bring something to the table, I've been lucky enough to be involved in some good squads before in my career and I will do my very best for the club.
"I'm still very ambitious, still hungry for lots of success so hopefully I can contribute a lot at Sounders and I hope it goes well."
