Former Napoli youth academy player Vincenzo Bernardo has signed with Austrian third division club FC Hochst.

The 20-year old New Jersey native and USA U20 international has signed a deal for an undisclosed fee and said he was delighted to get another opportunity to play in Europe and will do all he can to help his new club out of their current precarious position.

"I am grateful for the opportunity to play here with FC Hochst," said Bernardo.

"I will give it my all to help the team fight from relegation. I am well aware that this is an important opportunity that I need to be thankful for and build from.

"I want to thank everyone who supported me through the good times, but more importantly, that stuck with me through this tougher waiting period in my career."
