Aston Villa are believed to be showing significant interest in bringing Steve Round to the club.
According to Sky Sports, new Villa boss Remi Garde has sounded out the former Everton and Manchester United assistant regarding a role on his coaching staff at Villa Park.
Garde was unable to bring his former assistants Bruno Genesio and Gerald Baticle to the West Midlands as they are still contracted at French club Lyon and will now go after David Moyes' old right hand man Round.
The 45-year-old has been without coaching work since leaving a part-time role with Derby County in the summer.
