Former QPR midfielder Shaun Derry believes his former club haven't learned from their mistakes of two years ago and are destined to be relegated to the Championship.

The R's find themselves seven points adrift of safety with just three games remaining in the Premier League season following their relegation in the similar circumstances in 2013.

"Three years ago when they got promoted there were a lot mistakes that took place that year. Certain of performances have taken place which have been a real let down," Derry, who left the club in the summer of 2013, told talkSPORT.

"There was a glimmer of hope a few weeks ago but the key game was the 0-0 at home [to West Ham] - it was a disappointing result."

"It's been a disappointing season. It looks as they are going back into the Championship again."
