Aitor Karanka is being linked with the Algeria national team job.
Reports in North Africa claim that the Spaniard is being considered to take over the Desert Foxes.
Algerian website dz.foot wrote on Twitter: "We proclaim in the conditional, of course, but the next coach of the Algeria would be Aitor Karanka."
43-year-old Karanka was sacked by Middlesbrough last month after almost three-and-a-half years at the Riverside Stadium.
Karanka would get the chance to work with Leicester City stars Riyad Mahrez and Islam Slimani, and reunite with Boro midfielder Adlene Guedioura if he were to take the Algeria job.
