Former Man Utd striker Henrik Larsson: The only regret of my career...

Swedish legend Henrik Larsson has stated that the only regret in his glorious career was not having extended his stay at Manchester United.

Larsson joined United on loan from Helsingborgs in January 2007 and he made a very positive impact for the Red Devils, scoring 3 goals in 13 appearances before heading back to Sweden after only two months at Old Trafford.

The 45-year-old has now gone on to state that he regrets not extending his time with United in order to claim a Premier League medal but also insisted that he had to honour his contract with Helsingborgs.

Larsson said in an interview with FourFourTwo: "That's the only regret I have in my career.

"I should have stayed, as it would have meant I got a Premier League winner's medal, and I would have stayed for one more season. But I still had a contract with Helsingborgs and I feel that when you sign a contract, you have to see it out.

"Everything was professional at Manchester United.

"When I had to attend a christening for my brother's children, the club ordered a plane to take me there after a match. United really take care of all their players."
