Former Manchester United and France goalkeeper Fabien Barthez has indicated that he is likely to get involved with the New York Cosmos.
Just a week after fellow Frenchman and former United star Eric Cantona became the director of soccer at the club, which is hoping to re-launch itself into US soccer, Barthez has spoken of his desire to help his friend.
"I could join Eric at the New York Cosmos. At the moment I do not know what I would do, but I'm sure I can help. Perhaps training the goalkeepers," he told Telefoot.
"At the moment nothing is clear."
Barthez, now 39, was in goals as France swept to victory in the 1998 World Cup. He also notched up a number of other titles during his playing days - namely the 1993 Champions League with Marseille, two French Ligue 1 titles with AS Monaco, and two Premier League titles with Man Utd.
