Former Man Utd midfielder Kleberson wants Philadelphia Union stay

Philadelphia Union and Kleberson are reportedly trying to work out how the player can remain at the MLS club.

The 34-year old former Manchester United and Brazil midfielder is currently on loan from homeland club Bahia but his short-term contract with the Union expires before the 2014 MLS season begins.

A recent interview with Union head coach John Hackworth on phillysoccerpage.net suggested that both parties 'are exploring ways to keep him in Philadelphia' even though his rights remain with Bahia.

The interview stated that: 'Kleberson is unlikely to return unless the Union can work out a free transfer with a salary under $150,000.'

The ex-Besiktas and Flamengo man made 11 MLS appearances in 2013, scoring one goal.
