Chicago Fire goalkeeper Sean Johnson insists he is more focused on sustained team success than he is on individual accolades.
The 24-year old gloveman, who has already notched up more than 100 MLS appearances, has started the 2014 season in fine form despite not yet keeping a clean sheet.
Four caps for the USA and trials with Manchester United, Everton and Stoke City could have Johnson reaching for the stars but he prefers to remain grounded as he strives to help the Fire achieve success this season and beyond.
"For me, the personal accolades are not important," Johnson said.
"What's important to me is just doing what I can to keep the team in the game, and whether that's making an unbelievable save or an easy save that's what it takes.
"I'd much rather win games and be a successful team than get all the accolades.
"Once we win a championship I'd love to take accolades after that, but until then it's just a process, we want to stay even-keeled and focus on the task in hand which is getting a win against New England this weekend."
Chicago currently sit ninth on the Eastern Conference table after six matches which has yielded five draws and one loss and has Johnson sitting fifth on the MLS most saves list.
