Former Manchester City midfielder Gelson Fernandes is in talks with Championship Leicester over a move to the Foxes. Boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is looking at bringing the 24 year old back to England from St Etienne.
The news has alerted Eriksson, who is a big fan of the Switzerland international having worked with him during his time in charge of City.
Fernandes' agent, Marcel Schmid, has confirmed Leicester's interest.
"The two clubs are in discussions about a deal," Schmid told skysports.com.
"Sven Goran Eriksson is a big admirer of Gelson having worked with him at Manchester City and he would like to work with him again.
"Gelson enjoyed some good experiences with Sven and he would be happy to join him again.
"We are open to more discussions, but nothing has been decided as yet."
