Former Man City, England boss Eriksson not giving up after Shanghai axe

Sven-Goran Eriksson insists he is not walking away from football following his sacking by Shanghai SIPG.

The Swedish tactician was axed by the Chinese Super League club last week, despite finishing third on the table, and has made it clear that he has no plans to quit as a coach after the recent snub.

A Sky Sports report indicates that Eriksson is keen to continue coaching somewhere in the world even after he was brushed aside for Andre Villas-Boas who has taken the Shanghai job on a reported £11million per year.

Former Manchester City, Leicester City and England boss Eriksson was on around £4m-a-year in China and is keen to kick on and manage another club, which would take it to 16 jobs in total, including 12 at club level.
