Former Man City defender Mee enjoying life with Burnley

Burnley defender Ben Mee, who captained Manchester City to FA Youth Cup glory in 2008, made his season-long loan move to Turf Moor a permanent one in January. "It's nice to be part of a club and knowing my future for the next few years," said the 22-year-old. "I'm really pleased that I've got somewhere I can stay for a while now and feel comfortable. I'm really happy here.

"I didn't feel part of it at City I guess. When I was going out on loan I was fully committed to the club I was at and I wasn't really thinking about anywhere else.

"I never really broke into the first team at City so never really felt part of the squad there. So I'm really happy to have found somewhere I can settle down."
