Former Liverpool winger Pennant interesting Wigan and West Ham

Wigan are considering a move for Real Zaragoza's Jermaine Pennant. The former Liverpool star was reportedly offered to Wolves after he failed to settle in Spain, but the Midlanders declined the opportunity.

The 27-year-old only signed for the La Liga outfit 12 months ago but fell out with coach Jose Aurelio Gay after persistently arriving late for training.

Premier League rivals West Ham have also been linked with Pennant, who cost Arsenal £2million pounds when he signed from Notts County in 1999, a record fee for a trainee.
