Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler has made a verbal agreement with A-League club Perth Glory to play another season.
The soon-to-be 36-year old, currently in his homeland assisting with the efforts of League Two club Bury FC, spent the 2010/11 A-League season with the Glory after his first season in Australia with the now defunct North Queensland Fury and will now go around again.
A Glory spokesman said that Fowler had made it clear he wants to play again although admitted a deal had not yet been signed.
"As you know we have made an offer to Robbie Fowler on reduced terms for next season," said the spokesperson.
"Robbie has verbally confirmed his commitment for the 2011/12 season but the club will make a formal announcement once the contract is signed."
