Craig Bellamy is in line for the Cardiff City job, according to the Daily Mirror.
The Bluebirds have been performing well under Neil Warnock in recent times and have climbed up to the 12th in the Championship table.
However, Bellamy is currently working as a player development manager under Warnock and the report suggests that the former Liverpool and Manchester City striker is being groomed to succeed him when he steps down from the job.
Bellamy ended his playing career with Cardiff in 2014 and is now being earmarked to step up to the manager's role once Warnock completes his obligations.
